Ruby A. Abraham Age 94 Of the Town of Plymouth
Passed away Early Tuesday Morning (May 8) at St. Nicholas Hospital where she had been a patient for one day. Ruby was born on November 14, 1917 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, a daughter of the late Louie and Helena Fuerstenau Hintz. She attended Fond du Lac Grade School and graduated from Goodrich High School in 1935. On May 14, 1939, she married Harry O. Abraham at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cascade. The couple farmed in the Town of Mitchell for 8 years and then on the family homestead from 1947-1981. Her husband preceded her in death on May 22, 2003. Ruby was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth and served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She volunteered at the church office and at many social activities at the church. She also volunteered her time at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility and was also a 4-H Leader for many years and was a member of the Happy Homemakers. Ruby enjoyed playing cards, bingo, reading, crocheting afghans, gardening, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors Include: Two Sons: Lee (Karen) Abraham of Random Lake, Terry (Janice) Abraham of the Town of Plymouth, One Daughter: Carol (Ray) Marvin of Tomahawk, Five Grandchildren: Wendy Wiegerling of Plymouth. Shawn (Mandi) Marvin of Tomahawk, Kelly (Brent) McElhaney of Park City, Utah, Todd (Kara) Abraham of the Town of Plymouth, Jennifer (Mark) DeWitz of the Town of Lyndon. Ten Great Grandchildren One Step Great Grandchild One Brother: Gilbert (Mary) Hintz of San Antonio, TX One Sister-in-law: Gladys Hintz of North Fond du Lac Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, one Grandchild: Debbie Mueller, one Sister: Edna Bennethum, one Brother: Les Hintz, one Brother-in-law: Ernst Abraham and One Sister-in-law: Emma Liebau.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday Afternoon, (May 12) at 12:30 P.M. at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Rev. Thomas Burton of St. John Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the CHURCH on Saturday from 10:30 A.M. until the time of services.
