Doris E. Bartholomew, 86, of 3296 Ridge Road, Bloomsburg, died Jan. 24, 2004, at Balanced Care Nursing Home.
She was born Jan. 21, 1918, in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late William and Hulda Welliver Hess.
She was a 1938 graduate of Millville High School. She retired from Milco in 1983, after working there more than 25 years. She spent most of her life in Columbia County. She was a member of Millville Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. "Bill" Bartholomew Jr., who died Oct. 14, 2002; by a son, William H. "Sonny" Bartholomew III, who died Aug. 20, 1995; and by a sister, Phyllis Charles.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Louise Bartholomew, by four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bunnell Funeral Home Inc., 179 E. Main St., Millville, with the Rev. Vern Brummel, Balanced Care Nursing Home, officiating.
Burial will be at Millville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
