SYLVESTER DAYE

Funeral services for Sylvester Day, 58, Wautoma, who died Wednesday at his home, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church, Wautoma, with the Rev. Norman Silvester officiating.

Burial was in the Budsin Church Cemetery, Budsin.

He was born in the town of Crystal Lake, Marquette County, on May 26, 1910, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Daye. He married Emma Schultz of Wautoma on May 12, 1934, at Westfield.

Mr. Daye was employed by H.J. Heinz Co., in Wautoma for 25 years, retiring 16 years ago because of ill health.

Surviving are his widow; one son, Arlon of Rockford, Ill; three daughters, Mrs. Norbert Henke of Westfield, Mrs. James Bielmeier of Wautoma and Mrs. Robert Wilcox of Nekoosa; eight grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Emma Daye of Route 1, Neshkoro; his grandmother, Mrs. Hulda Sonnenberg of Fond du Lac; four half-sisters, Mrs. Charles Marks of Neshkoro, Mrs. Albert Schultz of Neenah, Mrs. William Dee of Ripon and Mrs. Lottie King of Wautoma.

He was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Melvin and Wilmer and a sister, Irma.
