Lawrence S Ashcraft,77, a native of Coshocton county, died suddenly at his home in Utica Saturday morning.
He was a retired Air Force depot employee at Shelby,O.
Mr. Ashcraft was born November 26, 1890 a son of Sylvester and Mary McLaughlin Ascraft. He was married to the former Della McCullough, who survives.
He was a member of the Mount Pleasent Church of Utica.
Surviving besides the widow are two sons; Meredith Ashcraft, Newark Rt.7, and Kenneth Ashcraft, Frazeysburg Rt.3, a daughter; Mrs. Lena Ramsey, Frazeysburg Rt.3; five stepsons, George VanWinkle and Roger VanWinkle, both of Utica, Vaughn VanWinkle of Frazeysburg, Harold VanWinkle of Columbus, and Lowell VanWinkle of Mansfield; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Helen Cullison, Frazeysburg Rt.3,and Mrs. Lucille Gault of Frazeysburg; a sister, Mrs. Amy Gardner of Zanesville; 21 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mount Pleasant Church in charge of Rev.H A Miller. Burial will bwe in Martinsburg Cemetery.
