Obituary Notice – Western World –3 May 1994

No service was held for Elmer Max Benson of Bandon, who died May 3 at age 86. Interment was at the Bandon Odd Fellows Cemetery. Arrangements were by Amling/Schroeder Bandon Chapel.

Mr. Benson was the son of Graves and Isa Benson. He grew up and attended school in Colorado. He served during World War II in the U.S. Army and married Eva Mae DeLamater on Dec 2, 1944 at Blackstone, Virginia. Mr. Benson had lived a number of years in Willows, California and was a member of the American Legion there. He and Mrs. Benson moved to Bandon in 1979. One of his most enjoyable pastimes was golfing.
