Carl C. Force son of Isaac N. Force and Priscilla Thomas, was born in Marshalltown, Ia., October 3, 1885, and died at the Boone county hospital Tuesday, July 11, 1939, at the age of 53 years, 9 months and 8 days.
At an early age his parents moved to Boone, where he atteded the Boone public schools. Carl was musically inclined and played the cornet in a number of bands in Iowa. He engaged in the sign painting business in this city.
He was united in marriage to Edith Westberg. To this union was born two daughters one having passed away in infancy, the other, Mrs Irene Reeves of Maywood, Ills., survives; also one sister, Mrs A.W. Manning of Mason City; one brother, Jud of Sioux City, Ia.; two grandchildren, Joyce and Gary Reeves of Maywood, Ill.
