Cora (Rowden) Shelton was born November 4, 1876; died December 15, 1923 of Bright's Disease followed by pneumonia, aged 47 years, one month and eleven days. She was married to George W. Shelton, Sept. 2, 1896, and to this uinon were born two children, Beulah, who died at the age of four months, and Evelyn who is now Mrs. John M. Ferguson.

She is survived by her husband and daughter, two grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. G.M. Durham of Springfield, Mo., Mrs. Isaac Sherrel and Mrs. Everett Jones, both of Iberia. Her mother died about fifteen years ago, her father, James W. Rowden, having passed away only three days prior to her death.

Beautiful and impressive funeral services conducted by Prof. G. Byron Smith, were held Sunday afternoon at the home in the presence of a large assemblage of relatives and friends who gathered to pay their last tribute of love and respect to the departed loved one, friend and neighbor. The body was laid to rest in the Iberia Cemetery.
