Russell J. Bellmann, 66, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Monday, May 7, 2012, at home. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Monday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City.

Russell was born on April 2, 1946, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Leonard and Irene (Alt) Bellmann. He worked for 20 years as a carpenter in Dane County and 20 plus years for the Department of Natural Resources. In retirement he enjoyed working with his niece, Kristi, in her vegetable business.

Survivors include two sisters, LaVonne (Doss) Bradford, of Bainbridge Island, Washington, and Janet (Bill) Johnson, of Wylie, Texas; a brother, Greg (Cheryl) Bellmann, of Cuba City; an uncle, Donald Alt, of Santa Maria, California; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepfather, Cletus Schwab.
