Mrs. Mabel Crane of Tuscumbia, widow of Willie Crane (son of Jerry Crane) died at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City Sunday morning about 1:30 from a complication of diseases of which she had been a sufferer for a number of months.
The body was brought back to the home of her mother, Mrs. Cora Fancher of near Tuscumbia, where funeral services, conducted by Rev. Arthur Crouch of Tuscumbia, were held Monday afternoon. Following the services at the home, the body was conveyed in the Adams & Casey funeral coach to the Iberia Cemetery where it was tenderly laid to rest in the family burial lot of her grandfather, Taylor Shelton.
Mrs. Crane leaves four children, mother, brothers and sisters to mourn her passing, her husband having died about four years ago.
