Clayton L. Dahl, 84, of Georgetown passed away October 27, 2012. Services will be Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 10am at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 N. IH 35, Georgetown, Texas. Interment will follow to IOOF cemetery in Georgetown.

Clayton was born June 1, 1928 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to the late Carl Joseph Dahl and Lelia Irene Holm Dahl. After high school Clayton, joined the United States Army and served his country honorably during the Korean War. It was during his time in the Army that Clayton met the love of his life, Margaret Elizabeth Westmoreland. She was working as a nurse on base where Clayton was stationed. After returning from service, Clayton attended the University of Alabama and received his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. It was in the late 1950's that Clayton and Margaret were married. Clayton's career in Mechanical Engineering took him to various projects with NASA and later he worked for Rohm & Haas and Plant Engineer for Good Year. Clayton was an avid University of Alabama fan, he was known for always wearing his ball cap supporting the university. He was also known for his giving spirit and for being a true gentleman. Clayton's family and friends will truly miss him.

Clayton is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Margaret Dahl. Clayton is survived by his sisters, Eunice Roger of Woodville, TX and Inez Williams of Powhatan, VA; his brother, Romaine Dahl of Belle Chase, LA; his step-son, Jim Ivy of Round Rock, TX; his grandchildren, Peter Roscoe Ivy and his wife, Makiko, Karen Elizabeth Ivy, Patrick Lyle Ivy and Julie Louise Ivy; his great grandchildren, Momo Ivy and Zilker Ivy; along with numerous other loving family members and friends.
