AUSTIN, Capt. Robert E.(D.C.) USN (Retired). Native of Jacksonville, Illinois. Died peacefully at home in La Jolla on June 17, 1998 at age 77. Loving husband of Jeanette (McCue). Father or William E., Kathleen, and Stephen E. Grandfather of 4, Great grandfather of 5. Dr. Austin was a Naval aviator and dentist serving with distinction in Viet Nam with the 3rd Marine Air Wing, aboard several ships and Naval bases. Last duty station prior to retiring was Commanding Officer of the Dental Technician School in San Diego. Viewing Friday, June 19, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at El Camino Mortuary.
Rosary at 1:30 p.m. and Mass of the Resurrection at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20 at Miramar Air Station Chapel. Followed by burial at El Camino Memorial Park, Veterans Vista
