"Mrs. Almira Hood died at her home in West Burlington, Friday evening, at 7 o'clock with liver trouble, aged seventy-seven years. The deceased leaves to mourn her three daughters and two sons: Mrs. George Bigelow of Richfield Springs, Mrs. Marion Winters of Garrattsville, Miss Anna Hood of West Burlington and also Alonzo Hood of West Burlington, and Mr. Edd Hood of Edmeston. The family have the heart felt sympathy of every one in the community in their bereavement. The funeral was largely attended at the M. E. church on Monday. The services were conducted by the Rev. Mr. Finch and interment was made in the Brick School House cemetery. Mrs. Hood was a faithful worker in the M. E. church.---Our West Burlington Reporter."
