FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs Julia Spencer Bennett, 96, died Tuesday night in Highsmith Memorial Hospital after an illness of about three weeks.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, the Rev Louis S. Gaines, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev Hubert L. Black, pastor of Highland Presbyterian Church, and the Rev Henry T. Johnson, rector of Holy Trinity Protestant Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Cross Creek Cemetery, directed by Jernigan Warren Funeral Home.
