Mrs. Sarah Cotter Buried in City Cemetery
Mrs. Sarah Levis Cotter, whose death occurred in Chicago Wednesday, was buried in the family lot in Alton City Cemetery Friday morning, following brief services at the Streeper Funeral Home. Funeral services were conducted at the family home in Chicago Thursday at 3 o'clock in the Rev. George E. Whitten, pastor of the First Methodist Church, conducted services yesterday morning.
Six nephews, A. C. Levis, C. P. Levis, R. H. Levis II, H. L. Cotter, Jason Bramhall, and Walter Stelle, a grandson, Edward Cotter, and a friend, Alex Johnson of Chicago were pallbearers.
Mr. and Mrs. L. Dalton, Mr. and Mrs. A. Wilkie, Mr. and Mrs. Fred cotter, Mr. and Mrs. John Levis, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Levis, Lee Cotter and Axel Johnson accompanied the body from Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Kessinger, Mrs. Mildred Kessinger, and Mrs. Walter Weiss, Mrs. Don Burke, Mrs. Denby, and Burke Denby of Carlinville attended the funeral.
