5 Oct., 1876 - The Pilot - Rebecca Virginia (Harmon) Clark
CLARK - At her home in Fort Calhoun Tuesday evening, October 3rd, 1876, Mrs. Rebecca Clark, wife of the Hon. Elam Clark, aged 53 years, 7 months and 12 days.

The funeral takes place today from the family residence at Fort Calhoun.

it is with feelings of mingled sadness and regret that we perform the painful duty of announcing the death of this estimable lady. For eighteen months she has been confined to her bed and almost entirely helpless from the effects of a stroke of paralysis. During all this time she has received every attention that it was possible for kind and loving friends to bestow. But her disease baffled all medical skill and her spirit took its departure to that brighter land.

For more than eighteen years a resident of Washington county, she held a high place in the affections of all who knew her. She leaves a kind and affectionate husband and seven children, three sons and four daughters, to mourn her death.
