She was born on February 24, 1933 in White Oak, Arkansas and she had lived in Orange, Texas and Newton, Texas, most of her life.
Billie is survived by her daughters, Mary Kay Dorsey and husband, Cliff of Bridge City, Texas and Margie Herrin of Newton, Texas, sisters, Jessie Kappaz and husband, George and Louise Robertson both of Newton and Tennie Krist and husband, Bob of Springfield, Missouri, 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, B. W. Black, brother, Talmadge Walthall, sister and brother-in-law,, Junior and Irene Tourila and parents, Sampson and Kate Walthall.
Her funeral will be held at Smith Funeral Home at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 9th with burial to follow at the Newton City Cemetery.
