Mr. Mastin had lived in Lafayette from 1946-1972 and was employed at Alcoa in the mechanical testing laboratory for 30 years. He retired in 1972 and moved to Monticello. He was a member of United Church of the Brethren at Crawfordsville, a memer of the 25-Year Club at Alcoa, Moose Lodge 1529, National Campers and Hikers Association, and Week-N-Ders Cliub of Lafayette.
Surviving with his widow are two sons, Jerry Lee Mastin of Cincinatti, OH; and Larry J. Mastin of Battle Creek, MI; his mother, Mrs. Mae Sering of Crawfordsville; two step-sisters, Mrs. Virginia Bateman of Dayton, OH, and Mrs. Beuton Hesler of Crawfordsville; one step-brother, Donald Sering of Crawfordsville; and three granddaughters.
