NORRIDGEWOCK - Mildred B. Pinkham, 90, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother entered into the presence of her savior, June 24, 2005. Formerly of Salem, N.H. Mildred was recently residing in Norridgewock, with her son, Douglas Pinkham and his family. Mildred was born Sept. 15, 1914 in Mars Hill, the daughter of Roy and Eliza (Lunn) Bell. Mildred was a graduate of Zion Bible Institute, Providence, R.I.

After graduation, Mildred was married to the late Rev. Robert Pinkham, with whom she pastored churches in Maine, Vermont, and Massachusetts for 32 years. Mildred loved her years as a pastor's wife and took on many ministry roles in their various churches including pianist, church secretary, choir director, and women's ministry coordinator. After retiring from the ministry she worked for the Bank of America for 10 years.

Mildred attended Grace Assembly of God Church in North Salem, N.H., and was a cherished member of their church family for over 20 years. She was active in the Christian Women's Club of Rockingham County and served as their treasurer for several years.

Survivors include her daughter, Roberta Philbrick and husband, Gene, of Salem, N.H.; three sons, Roger Pinkham of Lincolnville, Ronald Pinkham and his wife, Cheryl Cassidy, of Lincolnville, Douglas Pinkham and his wife, Mary Ellen, of Norridgewock; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Mildred's life will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at the First Congregational Church of Camden, Mayflower Room, 55 Elm St., Camden. A brief Committal service will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery, Route 52, in Camden. (Bangor Daily News 6/27/2005)
