Jack Bruce, 76, of Mathiston died Sept. 27, 2007, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
He was born March 4, 1931. Mr. Bruce was a retired project engineer for the federal Highway Administration. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Bruce of Mathiston; three sisters, Melba Gammill of Louisville, Willie Bell Rogers of Tyron, Ga., and Dean Melton of Atlanta; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services were Sept. 30 at Wise Funeral Home in Eupora with the Rev. Willy Weddle officiating. Burial was in North Union Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Bruce, Kevin Bruce, John Hughes, Lindy Lainer, Keith Wiseman and Laurens Wiseman.
