James David Ashley, 50 of Beckley formerly of Hinton, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007. Born February 8, 1957 at Hinton, he was the son of Jack Bean Ashley of Hinton and the late Betty Jo Thompson Ashley.

David was a 1975 graduate of Hinton High School and a graduate of WV Tech at Montgomery with degrees in Electrical and Mining Engineering. A former employee of Main Electric in Charlotte, NC for more than 18 years and most recently Beech Mountain Timber of Nimitz and American Electric in Beckley.

Besides his father, he is survived by his wife, Annette Jarrett Ashley of Fayetteville; three sons, Jonathan, Joey and Jackie Ashley all of Raleigh, NC; one sister, Pam Young and husband Jim of Hinton; his step-mother Vivian Ashley of Hinton and two stepchildren, Heather and Wayne Phillips.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 24, 2007 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Don Hannah and John McCain officiating. Burial will follow in Restwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 6-9 P.M. on Friday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors. Viewing Information: 6-9 P.M. Friday at the Funeral Parlors.
