Roma Alleman Robison
1931 - 2019

Early Life: Roma was born September 21, 1931, to Edwin Leonard Alleman and Vera Humphreys Alleman in Bern, Idaho,
where she attended elementary school. She graduated from Montpelier High School.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: Roma went on to receive her nursing degree from Dee Hospital School of Nursing and Utah State University. She worked as a registered nurse at the VA Hospital and later, at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she met her husband, Arnold Edgar Robison Jr. On September 12, 1958, they were married in the Salt Lake Temple and have lived in the Salt Lake area ever since. She gave up nursing for a more important role that she loved, that of mother. They loved to travel and would spend time driving all over North America. She especially loved the family reunions and spending time with her family. She had a sweet, shy disposition with a propensity for fun. She was an excellent cook and seamstress, always able to pick up talents like knitting or any kind of handwork easily. She loved to garden. They were members of the Sugarhouse Lions Club as well as the Horseless Carriage Club and enjoyed going on tours with their old Model T Fords and Buicks, even dressing the part in the old clothing, cranking their cars to start them as they toured different areas of the country. Roma is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has held many different positions throughout the years. After raising her family, she volunteered at the LDS Social Services working with couples and placing babies in new homes. She loves to help and serve others. This was so evident through her time spent at Sunrise of Sandy, where she lived in the memory care area. She would help others get around, push their wheelchair, tell everyone who cared for her how beautiful they were and that she loved them. Roma Alleman Robison passed away peacefully on January 31, 2019, in Sandy, Utah. She was 87.
Family Message: "We wish to thank the staff at Sunrise of Sandy for their gentle, loving care of mom over the years. We also thank the nurses at Alta View Hospital for the kindness they showed her as well."
Survived By: Her seven children: Karen (Brad) Brimhall, Arnold (Janet) Robison, Michael (Lynette) Robison, Laurie (Zane) Walton, Alan (Jaylynn) Robison, George (Mindy) Robison, Scott (Theresa) Robison; 22 grandchildren and 19 plus great-grandchildren.
