"Rebecca Snowdall was born in England, five miles from London on September 5, 1834. She came to America at the age of 12 years and lived in Fairfield, Illinois, until 1879 when she came to Ponca, Nebraska, where she resided until 1911. She was married to Patrick Morris on July 22, 1889. After her husband's death in 1911 she came to Newcastle, Nebraska, and made her home with Mrs. Will Ross. After an illness of about ten days she passed away Friday, January 14, 1916. She became a convert to the Catholic faith at the time of her marriage.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. M. O'Toole from St. Peter's church Monday at 9 a.m., January 17, 1916. She was laid to rest in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at Newcastle, Nebraska. She is survived by two sisters who live in Illinois."
