Richard A. Johnsen
Richard A. Johnsen, 51, of 506 Erie St., died today.
He was born May 31, 1931 in Valparaiso, the son of Arthur and Fannie Mae (Litts) Johnsen. In 1963 he married Mildred Purnell who survives.
A lifelong Valparaiso resident, he was employed by Indiana General as a timekeeper for 30 years. He was a Korean War veteran.
Survivors also include a son, Paul of Texas; two stepdaughters, Mary Bergstrom of Oregon and Judith Mausen of Valparaiso; two stepsons, Edward and James Leib, both of Valparaiso; a brother, Arleigh of Valparaiso; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services 1 p.m. Friday at Wetmore-Moeller Funeral Home; the Rev. David Hein officiating; burial in Graceland Cemetery; visitation 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
