J.H. WILLARDSON DIES SUDDENLY OF HEART ATTACK

Funeral Services Held Wedneday in the Elsinore Ward Chapel

The untimely death of John H. Willardson, owner and manager of the Willardson Hardware Store at Elsinore, Friday came as a shock to the entire community. Although his health had not been good for several years, it was thought that his condition recently was much improved. He died of a heart attack at his place of business at 4:45 p.m. while attempting to fit some pipe for a customer.

Mr. Willardson's wife and his daughter, Mrs. Fern Ramlose were in Canada preparing to return home after a two weeks; visit there when the sad news reached them. They arrived home Sunday night, accompanied by two sisters and an uncle of Mrs. Willardson.

John H. Willardson was born February 3, 1889, at Ephraim, the son of Christian and Katherine Willardson and came with the family to Elsinore in 1898. On November 5, 1905, he married Louis Jolley of Burley, Idaho, who died the following year. In 1907 he married Mary Brandley of Richfield. For two years they lived at Kimberly and Richfield, and in 1909 moved to Elsinore where Mr. Willardson engaged in the hardware, coal and lumber business. He is survived by his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Fern Ramlose of Richfield; and the following brothers and sisters; Peter Willardson of Monroe, Christian, James and Andrew Willardson of Ephraim, Joseph Willardson of Gunnison, Mrs. Rinda Braithwaite of Elsinore, Mrs. Annie Ware of Monroe, Christena and Marie Willardson of Ephraim. Two grandchildren survive.

Well attended funeral services were held Wednesday morning in the Elsinore Ward Chapel, with Bishop Leon Madsen in charge. Speakers were Patriarch J.I. Jensen of Elsinore and H. Roland Tietjen of Monroe. Musical numbers were "Abide With Me", sung by a quartet composed of Mrs. Minnie Sylvester, Mr. and Mrs. D.N. Oldroyd and H.J. Kotter, accompanied by Mrs. Minnie Kotter; a request number, "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine:, sung by Misses Fae Christensen and Madge Gray; a duet, "Sometime, Somewhere", by Mr. and Mrs. D.N. Oldroyd, accompanied by Miss Lenna Thurber of Richfield; a violin and cello duet by Misses Barbara and Bernell Tietjen of Monroe, and a vocal solo, "My Father Knows", by Mrs. Jetta Marquardson:, with piano and violin accompaniment by Mrs. Minnie Kotter and Miss Evelyn Sylvester. The invocation was by W. W. Sylvester; the benediction by H.J. Kotter.

Interment was in the Richfield cemetery, Bishop Leon Madsen dedicated the grave.
