My Great Aunt
Lilly Alice Pierce, 81, Social Band Road, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Will Hall and Millie Ann Reeves Hall, was born in Taylor County June 11, 1905. She died at 8:20 p. m. , Saturday, February 28, 1987, at the Metzmeier Nursing Home in Campbellsville after an illness. She was a member of the Poplar Grove United Methodist Church. She united in marriage to Henry L. Pierce, November 5, 1927. He preceded her in death August 11, 1972. To this union four sons and one daughter were born. Doyle Thomas Pierce died in infancy and Ina Doris Pierce preceded her mother in death February 27, 1941. Surviving are James Pierce, William Pierce, and Henry W. Pierce, all of Campbellsville. Besides her three sons, she is survived by two grandsons and two granddaughters, Bobby Pierce and James Lewis Pierce, both of Campbellsville, Wanda Grammer, Hendersonville, Tenn., and Paula Keltner, Ellenwood, Georgia; one great-granddaughter, Amber Beard, Campbellsville; one brother, Albert Hall, Campbellsville, several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Miss Sharon Pierce on April 28, 1978. The funeral was held at 2 p.m. , Monday, March 2, at the Parrot & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by the Rev. Walter Lay and the Rev. Gene Hall. Burial was in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.Pallbearers were: Olan Hall, Carl Hall, Buster Hall, Vernon Hall,Donald Hall, Earl Hall.
