Mrs. Danford was a charter member of the Southern Maryland Arthritis Foundation, where she was a president, and was active in the 4-H organization. She was the founder of the Mount Harmony Mustangs and Lucky Dogs 4-H clubs. Mrs. Danford was a member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Owings.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday in Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church by Monsignor Paul Dudziak. A graveside service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the Matthis family cemetery in Clinton, N.C., by Father Bill Upah. Arrangements are being handled by Royal-Hall Funeral Home of Clinton.
Mrs. Danford is survived by her husband, Edwin Danford; a son, James Danford of Huntingtown; a daughter, Angelina Danford of Great Mills; her parents, James and Rita Blasie of Fort Washington; and two grandchildren.
