Sara "Sarasu" Abraham, 55, of Woodlake, Midlothian, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 14, 2006, while visiting family in India. Sarasu was born in India and completed her education as a physical therapist at Christian Medical College, Vellore, India. She was employed as a rehabilitation supervisor at the Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, Va. She is survived by her husband, C.P. "Sham" Abraham; son, David; and daughter, Lisa, all residing in Midlothian. She is also survived by a sister, Dr. Molly Netto of Poquoson, Va.; and two brothers, Mr. Sabu Mathew of Bangalore, India and Mr. Bobby Mathew of Charlotte, N.C. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2006 at the Chesterfield Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 14301 Ashbrook Pkwy, Chesterfield. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 21, at Woodlake United Methodist Church, with interment to follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
