In Fall On Sunday
Mrs. R. H. Rives, 83-year-old resident of Fairview Drive, died early this morning at Jennie Stuart Hospital, where she was taken following a fall on Sunday in which she suffered a broken hip.
Mrs. Rives was the former Maggie Frances Eubank. She was born in Panola County, Mississippi. on Dec 22. 1871, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Eubank.
She was living in Texas at the time of her marriage to Mr. Rives on Sept 6. 1893, but the couple came to Kentucky not long after the marriage and has made its home in Christian County ever since that time. The family lived for a number of years on the Clarksville Pike south of Hopkinsville.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock at the Fuqua Funeral Home. Rites will be conducted by her pastor, Dr. D M. Spears of the First Methodist Church. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.
Mrs. Rives was life-long member of the Methodist Church and a faithful attendant at services of her church until her health failed.
Mrs. Rives is survived by her husband and the following five children. Raymond Rives of Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. Max H. Chapman of Ft Lauderdale Fla., Mrs. T. E. Lipscomb of Louisville; Robert F. Rives of Old Hickory, Tenn., and Mrs. David Parsons of Winchester, Ky.
Also surviving are two brothers, Robert Eubank of Big Springs, Texas, and Archilles Eubank of Dallas, Texas: and a sister, Mrs. Lillian Eubank of Long Beach, Cal.
