Charles Arthur Ingram--a native of Mt. Vernon, Alabama and a resident of Mobile, Alabama was born to the union of the late Theodore Ingram, Sr. and Eula Beatrice Dean Ingram on January 20, 1955. He was raised in William Chapel Baptist Church and while residing in Mobile, Alabama attended Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. He was employed by Courtalds and Kellogg Brown & Root for a number of years before starting his own business. Charles exchanged this life for eternity on April 1, 2005, after short but courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Ingram, Sr., and his brother, Kenneth Dean.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories a loving and devoted wife, Dr. Samantha Jones Ingram; three devoted children, Courtland (Laroia) Van Arsdale, Kyra A. Morris, and Charlotte A. Ingram; a devoted mother, Eula Beatrice Dean Ingram; three brothers, Theodore (Dr. Yvette Battiste) Ingram, Ronald (Robbie) Ingram and Gregory (Valerie) Ingram; and a loving and devoted sister, Lois Elizabeth (Lawrence) Larsosa; two grandsons, Levius and Latavius Van Arsdale; a devoted mother-in-law, Clara L. Bodie and fahter-in-law, Dannie (Shirley) Wells, Sr.; two brothers-in-law, Dannie Wells, Jr. and Raymond Bodie; three aunts Erma (William) Allen, Julia (John) Williams, Elizabeth (Leonard) Singleton; seven uncles, John (Mattie) Dean, Leo (Vera) Dean, Randy (Joyce) Dean, Frank (Stella) Dean, Neal (Laura) Dean, Joseph (Doris) Dean and Dan (Barbara) Ingram; several devoted friends, Dr. Regina Benjamin, Charles, James, Cedric, David, Doug, Freddie, Wallace, Autherine, Terri, and Willie James; eighteen special nieces and nephews and a host of devoted cousins and other relatives and friends.

Cortege will leave Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 860 So. Warren St. Wednesday, APril 6, 2005 at 9:45 AM for William Chapel Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon, AL. Interment in Roper Cemetery in Chestang, AL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 until the 11:00 AM funeral hour.
