Almon - Was born in Lexington, Scott County, IN on January 18th, 1912; was raised on the farm and attended Frog Pond School, a one room school house, He graduated from Lexington High School in 1930; received a bachelor's degree from Hanover College in 1934; and an M.S. degree from Indiana University in 1936. He taught chemistry at Bloomington High School 1937-1938, and was a farmer in Scott County, Indiana 1939-1940. He was married in Bloomington on August 28th, 1940 to Wilma McClintock of Bloomington. He was a Chemist for Weirton Steel Company, Weirton, West Virginia from 1941 to 1977. They resided in Brilliant, Ohio (where their children; Thomas Warren, and Rebecca Ann, were born in 1942 and 1944). He retired in 1977 and they moved to Phoenix, Arizona. They were active in the First Presbyterian Church in Brilliant, and Bethany Bible Church in Phoenix, AZ.
