He was born July 11, 1929 in Murray, Utah to Lenard Wilson and Ida Lucille Dalton James. On October 3, 1954, Reed married Anna Jane Nelson in Ely, Nevada.
Reed served in the U S Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951-1953. He was Co-Owner of the Sage Supper Club and owner of the The Old Town Tavern. He was a lifelong Cubs fan and was a loving man, devoted to his family.
Reed is survived by his wife, Ann; sons, Ken (Rhonda) Palmer, Alan (Debbie) James; grandchildren, Chad (Kelly) Palmer, Michael Ann (Dave) Vollmer, Stacie (Ryan) Stowe, Madison, Mark, and Mallory James; and great grandchildren, Cade, Cole, Kenzie, Braden, Kylie, Lexie, and Payton; siblings, Sharon (Clayton) Green, Judy Swilor, Jim James. Preceded in death by a son, Mark; brother, Arlo; and parents.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Goff Mortuary 8090 South State, Midvale. A viewing at Goff Mortuary for family and friends, will be held Thursday May 3, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. and again on Friday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
