Martha B. Bozworth,91, 2124 N. Salisbury St.,died at 7:15pm Monday, July 13,1987, in Home Hospital here.
She was born June 4, 1896, in Delphi, a daughter of Ward and Clara Belle (Hunt) Dunkin. Feb 3, 1923 she married Arthur G. Bozworth, who died Nov. 17,1984.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert ( LaDonna) Gray of West Lafayette and Mrs. Richard (CLara) Stanfield of Sarasota, Fla.; a twin sister, Mary B. Hughes of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.Four brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
A former member of Burlington Order of Eastern Star 453, Bozworth was a member of Burlington Evening Musicale and Home Economics Club and Federated Church at West Lafayette. She has also been a Sunday school teacher.
she had taught English, Latin, and music for more than 35 years in Burlington, Monitor, Battle Ground and other schools in Carroll County.She was a Librarian and directed plays and operettas.
A former resident of Burlington,she received her teaching certificate from Madame Blaker School, her bachelor's degree from St. Frances school and her library science degree from Purdue University.
Services will be at 11am Thursday in Neptune Funeral Home at Burlington. The Rev James L. Lund will officiate. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8pm Wednesday at the mortuary.
