Rex P. Reynolds, 91, Holts Summit, died Jan. 3, 2002, at Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital, Columbia.
He was born May 4, 1910, in Parthenon, Ark., a son of George and Ida Moss Reynolds. He was married Oct. 27, 1946, in Parthenon, to Betty Tombs, who survives at the home.
He attended school in Parthenon and was an Army veteran of World War II, receiving five Bronze Stars. He worked as a tree harvester with the M & M Stave Mill Company, retiring in 1975.
Other survivors include: two sons, Doyle Reynolds and George Reynolds, both of Holts Summit; one brother, Thomas Reynolds, Parthenon; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
One son, Wayne Reynolds, died March 5, 1997.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Michael Koelling will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday.
Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri.
