SALT LAKE CITY - Funeral services for Justin Waters Peay, 84, of 2010 Evergreen Ave., Salt Lake City, native of Provo, who died Thursday at his home, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Valley View Fourth Ward Chapel, 2125 Evergreen Ave.
Mr. Peay was born Oct. 28, 1888, in Provo, a son of George T. and Mercy Ellen Waters Peay. He married Irene Wilson on Aug. 25, 1909, in Provo and the marriage was solemnized later in the Salt Lake Temple.
Mr. Peay was active in the LDS Church. Until his retirement, he worked 43 years for Kennecott Copper Corp.
Survivors include his widow; two sons and one daughter, D. Wilson Peay, Magna; Richard V. Peay, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Fay (Carma) Smith, Hunter; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Sterling Peay, Provo, and Mrs. Elva P. Cooper, Murray.
Friends may call at 3251 S. 2300 E. tonight from 7 to 9 p o'clock and Saturday at the chapel one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Provo City Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the Primary Children's Hospital.
