Lifelong Burlington, Colorado resident Evelyn Bollwinkel, age 93, died at her farm home north of Burlington on Sunday,
June 8,2008.
She was born Evelyn Ida Pischkle on October 18,1914 in Auburndale, Florida, the daughter of Gustav and Ida (Strube)
Pischke. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church
and was a life long member.
When she was five years old, her family moved to Stratton, Colorado where she attended grade school, the family then moved to Burlington, where she attended grade school, the family then moved to Burlington, where she graduated from Burlington High School in 1933.
In May 1938 she was married to Claus Bollwinkel. They moved to their farm N.E. of Burlington in 1939 where they raised their three children, Janet, Jim, and Bill.
Evelyn was active in many different activities, she enjoyed reading, golfing, and painting, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially enjoyed the family gatherings during the holiday season.
Preceding Evelyn in death were her parents, her loving husband Claus 'Blondy' in 1997, one sister Ruth Wells and two brothers Louis Pischke and George Pischke.
