FORMER S. L. DEPUTY DIES IN LONG ILLNESS
PROVO, Aug. 30 - J. V. Dunn, 294 East First South Street, died Thursday following a lingering illness. Mr. Dunn was born in American Fork, January 31, 1878, but had lived in Provo nearly all his life. At one time, he was deputy sheriff in Utah and Salt Lake counties and also served as engineer at the Utah County infirmary. Surviving are three sons, Joseph Dunn, of Springville; Don and Allen, of Provo; and Mrs. V. L. Billings, of Washington; Mrs. H. C. Olsen, of Logan; and Dorothy Dunn, of Provo. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the First Ward Chapel. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
