MILDRED WELLS; RETIRED TEACHER; PTA PRESIDENT
Conway - Mildred (Peabody) Wells, 83, of Baptist Hill, retired 30-year teacher, died Jan. 1 at Farren Memorial Hospital, Montague.
A lifelong Conway resident, she was past president of the Parent Teacher Association.
She was a communicant of St. Mark's Church, former member of its guild, and member of the Senior Citizens and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Her husband Russell M Wells died in 1968.
She leaves a daughter Iona W Lincoln of Conway, two grandsons and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday at McCarthy Funeral Home, Greenfield, and in the church with burial in the spring in Howland Cemetery. Donations may be made to any charity.
