My dad, Victor grew up with name "Billie" in MO. After moving to Indiana at 17, it was then that he found out that his name was really 'Victor'. My uncle Bob still called him 'Bill'.

Then turning 18 he enlisted in the Army just before the Korean war started. He served two 3y terms, a yr and a half in combat in Korea. He was one of the survivors of the Battle on Pork Chop Hill & a POW for about a year.

He had a BIG heart and literally gave the shirt off of his back.

Victor first married Edith Louise 'Lou' (Greer) Lamberson during one of his 'leaves' in Dec 1955, Lake County, IN. She had a daughter, Linda Louise, born 10/08/56. Linda had Cerebral Palsy. Victor's parents adopted Linda after Vic & Lou were divorced. Victor & Lou divorced just under one year of marriage in early Dec 1956.
Victor then married Frankie 'Jackie' Rice in Oct 1958 in Gary, Lake, IN. Frankie was born 1937 in NC. They had five children, Billy, twins - Bobbie & Barbara 'Barbi', Bonnie "Bunny Rabbit" & Brendalee "Peanut". Frankie left him & the children. They divorced in Sep '68.
He is buried in the same garden that his parents, Cornelious and Thelma, are in, with his son, Billy, laid next to him.
