LUCY MARGARET MONSON
Lucy Margaret Monson, 62, the daughter of Allan and Sarah Boyd, was born July 23, 1895 in Berry County, Missouri. She was married at Yorktown in 1914 to Paul Monson, who died in 1956. She was a member of Fremont Mission Covenant Church.
Mrs. Monson, who had made her home the past are years in Fort Dodge, died Tuesday, May 14 in a Ft. Dodge Hospital. She had lived most of her life in Page County, having lived in Omaha seven years and also in Red Oak.
Surviving are a son, Ted, Fort Dodge; daughter, Mrs. Willis Kagg, Essex; 4 grandchildren; two brothers, John and Harlan Embree, bot of Creston; six sisters, Mrs. Glen Anderson, Creston; Mrs. Edwin Carlson, Stanton; Mrs. Darlean Warner, Paonia, Colorado; Mrs. Ilean Haggerty, Croning, and Mrs. Mae Deatheridge, Lamont, California.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, May 16, from the Fremont Covenant Church. The Rev. Paul E. Hedgberg officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Nyman.
Music waas by Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Nelson accompanied by Mrs. Delbert Anderson at the organ. Floral committee members were Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bergsten and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Johnson. Ushers were Harold and Alfred Anderson.
Casket bearers were Harry Anderson, Harold Nadgwick, Luther Goldberg, Leonard Swanson, Edgar Anderson, and Edwin Johnson.
