A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home with Pastor Carlton Rogers and Rodney Vickers officiating. Burial will follow in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
Bertha was born in Stanley on May 18, 1922, a daughter of the late Noah and Mattie Rhinehart Alger. She was a Laboratory Technician for Old Virginia Packing for 20 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed working in her flower garden. She attended Dynamic Life Praise and Worship Center.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Donald Williams of Rileyville and Duane Williams (Margaret) of Front Royal; her grandchildren, Sandra Tuttle (Randy), Mark Williams (Lauren), Kim Ketterman (Tim), Angela Vickers (Rodney), Eric Williams (Jennifer) and Christopher Williams; her great-grandchildren, Jack and Julia Tuttle, Jaden and Mason Williams, Olivia and Teagan Ketterman, Andrew and Will Vickers, and Caden, Logan and Trent Williams; and her special friends, Mike, Karen and Marissa McGrath.
In addition to her parents, Bertha was preceded in death by her brothers, Isaac, Irvin, Elmer and Floyd Alger; and her sisters, Martha Eberhart, Viola Jenkins, and Elsie Frye.
Pallbearers will be Eric Williams, Mark Williams, Tim Ketterman, Rodney Vickers, Mike McGrath, Stevie Foster and Roy Drummond.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
