Leah was born on December 8, 2010 in Albuquerque, NM to Gabriella Herrera and Mike Martínez.
Leah is survived by her mother, Gabriella Herrera, father, Mike Martínez (Kristina), step-brother, Cyrus Wheeler, sister, Alexa Rae Herrera Martínez, brother, Xavier Martínez, grandparents, Raúl Herrera, Luz Elena Gabaldón, Rocky Martínez, Teresa Romero and Jake Romero, aunts, Stephanie Martínez (Marcus Andujo) and kids, Isabella and Emilio, Marisela (Francisco Herrera) and kids, Angelica, Fabiola, Javier and Christian, Adriana and daughter, Valeria Herrera, Claudia (Arturo Márquez) and kids, Ana and Arturo, uncles, Estevan Sánchez, Chris Padilla, John Martínez, James Martínez and Nick Halford and many, many more cousins, family and friends.
God saw her getting tired; a cure was not to be. He wrapped her in his loving arms and whispered "Come with me". She suffered much in silence, her spirit did not bend. She faced her pain with courage until the very end. She tried so hard to stay with us but her fight was not in vain. God took her to his living home and freed her from the pain.
Leah, you were a precious gift to us all. Mommy, Daddy, and all your family and friends love you. We all will miss you every day. Rest in Peace our Beautiful Angel. WE LOVE YOU!!!
A visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rivera Family of Santa Fé Funeral Options Chapel. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the San Isidro church followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Santa Fé Memorial Gardens, Santa Fé, NM. Pallbearers will be Rocky Martínez, John Martínez, Francisco Herrera and Marcus Andujo.
