Rufino Hinojosa, 85, of 3417 Harold, died last night in a local hospital after a short illness.

Angelus Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Hinojosa, a native or Roma, had been a resident of Nueces County since he was a year old. He worked as a cook in the White Kitchen Metropolitan Cafe and then was chef at the Nixon Cafe before he retired in 1947.

Surviving are seven sons, Frank, Juan, Rodolfo, Tito and Roberto Hinojosa, all of Corpus Christi, Rufino Hinojosa Jr. of Commerce City, Colo., and Reynaldo Hinojosa of Houston; three daughters, Mrs. Tomasa Montes of San Antonio, Mrs. Lillie Smith of Gainesville and Mrs. Celia Davila of Corpus Christi, 34 grandchildren, and 45 great-grandchildren.
