A resident of Sparrowbush for five years, Mr. Davis was a retired silk weaver. He was born in Port Jervis on Oct. 17, 1902, to William and Mary Rafter Davis. He married the former Grace Dilling.
Mr. Davis was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Port Jervis.
Surviving besides his widow are one son, William C., of Sparrowbush; one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Tangen, of Clifton, N.J.; six grandchildren and several cousins.
Burial will be in the Minisink Cemetery, Montague, N.J.

His first wife, Maude Case, and ten-year-old daughter, Marilyn, died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Christmas day, 1934. They are buried in the Rural Valley Cemetery in Cuddebackville, NY.
