Hazel Mae Huff Burkhalter, 80, a resident of Magnolia, died April 8, 2010 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. She was born December 24, 1929 in Flora, MS. She was the daughter of Roy and Ida Mae Harrison Huff. She was a homemaker and attended Bala Chitto Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two children, Ruby Steed and Ronnie Palmer and two grandchildren, Rhonda Palmer and Jeff Eldridge.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph E. Burkhalter of Magnolia; two daughters, Ann Tipton of Carriere, MS and Marie McCormick of Smithdale; two sons, Gene Palmer and Larry Palmer, both of Jackson; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Grady and Peggy Huff of Pearl and Lamar and Lee Huff of Canton; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Mable Dunlap of Oklahoma, Blanche and Paul Hopson of Flora, Eloise Therrell of Biloxi and Catherine Baker of Pearl; 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
