Norman G. Alderfer of Harleysville Pike, Franconia Township,
died Tuesday in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township.
He was 68. Born in Souderton, he was a son of the late Elmer and Alice Groff Alderfer.

Throughout his lifetime he was employed as a truck driver for Rosenberger's Dairy of Hatfield, Landis Block Co. of Souderton, and Shelly & Fenstermacher Inc. of Souderton, until 1970. He was later employed by Heston S. Swartley fuel oil company of Sellersville, and Daily Dryer Co. of Hilltown Township, retiring in 1979.

He was a member of Immanuel (Leidy's) United Church of Christ, Souderton. He was a member of the Bucks County Hunting Club.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Detwiler Alderfer; a daughter, Kathleen Zehner of East Greenville; and two sons, Gordon and Gerald, both at home.

Funeral services will held Saturday in Immanuel (Leidy's) United Church of Christ, West Cherry Lane. Souderton. Larry L. Anders Funeral Home, Souderton.
