She was born on November 7, 1926 in Philadelphia to the late Lynford A. and Clara Margaret (Jamieson) Hewitt.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris J. Kelsall and a brother, Alan D. Hewitt.
Surviving are her daughter, Nancy L. (John) Sullivan of Enola, two sons, Stephen D. Kelsall of VA and Barry L. Kelsall of CA, 2 granddaughters, Lisa M. (Matt) Dructor of Harrisburg, Radience Kelsall of Maine, 2 step-grandsons, Scott Sullivan and Matthew (Aimee) Sullivan both of Enola, one great-granddaughter, and 5 step-great-grandchildren.
Stormin' Norma as the family lovingly called her was married for 28 years raised 4 children and after her husband divorced her she went back to her maiden name.
Norma worked for Pealer's Flowers in Camp Hill, Blue Shield, Berg Electronics and Family Health Council. She also volunteered at Holy Spirit Hospital, West Shore YWCA and the computer room at Bethany Towers.
She loved to travel, read, swim, play cards and bowl. She enjoyed a good party with spirited conversations where she could share her opinions on religion and politics.
As per her wishes there will be no viewing or service. Inurnment will be in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA on Wednesday, May 2, 2012. The family would like to thank all of her care givers at Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle, PA. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Harrisburg, 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
