He married Montie Ray Yates...After his death there was a battle over who was supposed to be the Administratrix to his affairs. The case went all the way to the Oklahoma Supreme court. Goff vs Goff has set the precedent for cases that followed. This case pitted his mother against his wife and divided the family. The case was won eventually by his wife.
