Chester N. Terrill, Sr., age 69, of Kinsman, Ohio, died Thursday, April 26, 2012. He was born February 8, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of Walter I. and Arleen (Beach) Terrill.
A long time Kinsman resident, Mr. Terrill was a 1961 graduate of Kirtland High School. He was employed by Philips Medical Systems, retiring in 2008; and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1971. Mr. Terrill attended St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where he faithfully took care of the grounds, helped with spaghetti dinners and assisted in many other ways. He served as a Boy Scout leader in earlier years; and he was a member of the N.R.A. He also enjoyed tinkering with antique tractors.

Mr. Terrill is survived by his wife, Sheila A. (Martin) Terrill, whom he married May 4,1974, of Kinsman; his five sons, Clark I. (April) Terrill of Kinsman, Ohio, David M. (Jessica Thompson) Terrill of Beacon, New York, Nathan S. Terrill of Austintown, Ohio, Chester N. Terrill, Jr. of Kinsman, Ohio, and Ryan T. Dunnigan of Augusta, Georgia; one granddaughter, Sophia E. Terrill, and one grandson, Riley C. Terrill; two sisters, Adah Mae (Robert) Wakelee of Rome, New York, and Dency Terrill of Ann Arbor, Michigan; one brother, Milton (Amy Whipple) Terrill of Painesville, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Butler Terrill.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 6397 State Route 87, Kinsman, Ohio, with Rev. Kevin McCaffrey officiating. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Monday, April 30th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, Ohio.
