Charlie Andrew Acree, 65, of 120 Boyd St., died Tuesday at his home.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Baptist Church, with the Rev. C.E. Bagwell officiating and burial at 2:30 p.m. in Cave Spring Cemetery.
Visitation began this afternoon at Babbage Funeral Home.
A native of Trigg County, he was born Dec. 1, 1926, son of the late Ben Aaron and Viola Pollard Acree. He was a retired highway construction worker, a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and a member of the Laborers International Union of North America Local No. 1392 for 35 years. His wife, Ella Lee Rives Acree, preceded him in death.
Survivors include three sons, Aaron Acree, Atlanta, Ga., and Donald Rives Acree and Andrew Tyrone Acree, both of Hopkinsville; three daughters, Cheryl Acree, Alice Taylor and Ella Anita Acree, all of Hopkinsville; three brothers, Nathaniel Acree, Pembroke, and Roosevelt Acree and Early Acree, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; four sisters, Zephyr Twyman and Lucinda Jones, both of Indianapolis, and Francis Acree and Pinkie Acree, both of Hopkinsville; and eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
