William O Dell married Malinda Mccurdy on Sunday May 31, 1840 in Murray County, Georgia. They had 10 children:

Found in the 11th July 1860 Census in Dalton, Whitfield County, Georgia: Wm Odell (Age 40-SC), w wife Melinda (Age 41-GA), & children: James W (Age 19-GA), Mary A E (Age 17-GA), Harriet E (Age 16-GA), Zedsck A (Age 13-GA), Martha A (Age 11-GA0, Sarah D (Age 9-GA), Wm L (Age 8-GA), Georgia M (Age 5-GA), Theodosia A (Age 3-GA), Vicy C (Age 1-GA).

Found in the 1 July 1870 Census in Whitfield County, Georgia: William ODell (Age 50-SC), w wife Malinda (Age 51-GA), & children: Martha (Age 21-GA), William (Age 16-GA), Georgia (Age 15-GA), Theadocia (Age 13-GA), Lucuea C (Age 10-GA), and works on farm, John D Bagget (Age 20-GA), and wife Sarah D (Age 19-GA).

After Malinda died in June of 1879, William married (Mrs. Elizabeth Morris) Martha Elizabeth Smith, Sunday, 16 Nov 1879 in Whitfield County, Georgia.
